On Sunday 30 May 2010 partners and staff from Dolmans and B4 Legal completed the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge raising £2,500 for the South Wales Police Youth Trust.
The day began at 0800 hours on 29 May 2010 at the foot of Snowdon (1085 metres) and, from there, they proceeded to Cadair Idris (893 metres) before concluding on Pen-y-Fan (886 metres) – the three highest peaks in Wales.
A later start time than originally planned was necessary as a result of a poor weather forecast, with the situation predicted to improve by lunch time; however that proved to be incorrect with already difficult conditions on Snowdon deteriorating further on Cadair Idris, with visibility falling to 10 metres due to rain and hill fog, similar conditions were experienced on Pen-y-Fan, together with the added factor of darkness.
Peter Bennett one of the partners participating in the event said:
"I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the entire team and the partners at Dolmans, to thank all of those individuals and organisations who have generously supported the event with sponsorship and allowed us to raise a significant sum of money for a very worthwhile local charity.
"The extent of the generosity shown by you all provided a very significant incentive to complete the challenge, despite the conditions on the day."
